As VP of Retirement Strategies at Finance of America Reverse, Steve leads the education and training programs for financial professionals about the role of home equity and reverse mortgages within a comprehensive financial plan. Steve’s career in financial services spans over 30 years, first as a fixed income analyst, and for the past 25 years as a partner in a wealth management firm. Throughout his career, he has incorporated strategies to protect and grow client assets by managing risks.
When introduced to reverse mortgages in the early 2000’s, Steve realized that these were not just loans, but rather an opportunity to add home equity to the financial planning process, providing further safeguards for his clients to ensure their financial longevity. Since that time he has helped hundreds of financial advisors do the same for their clients.
Steve is a subject expert source and a frequent speaker at both national and regional professional conferences and has been quoted in Kiplinger’s Personal Finance, The Street.com, and other publications.
Bio – Michael was raised in Tucson AZ. He was recruited by Duncan Toys as their youngest Touring Yo-Yo Professional at 18. Michael created Yo-Yo Crazes in Cities from San Francisco to NYC and more than a dozen cities in-between. Later, while enrolled in the Univ. of AZ’s Business Program, he invented and patented the world’s first “Smart Yo-Yo” (containing a centrifugal clutch) it is referred to as “The Brain.” When Toy-Agents couldn’t place the item with a Manufacturer, Michael founded Yomega Corp. in 1985. Yomega quickly became the largest Yo-Yo Manufacturer in the World.
Michael has also worked with some of the biggest Game Companies. As a Product Manager for Milton Bradley, he launched two or three new TV-promoted games every year, but it was while working as Sr. VP of Marketing for “ScreenLife” that Michael helped launched the game “Scene It?” in 2003 and by 2005 – it became “Toy Industry – Game of the Year”.
Michael retired from the Toy/Game Industry while he was in his late-forties, but after a few years, boredom set in. He launched a successful career in the Insurance/Financial Industry. AFLAC provided Michael an opportunity to meet business owners all over Southern AZ. He topped the lists for “New Groups Opened in 2014, 2015 and 2016.” Most recently, he joined forces with MassMutual where he acts as a Financial Advisor – who can throw a Spin Top, a Frisbee or a Yo-Yo!
