Resch\, VP Retirement Strategies\, Finance of America Reverse\nAs VP of Retirement Strategies at Finance of America Reverse\, Steve leads the education and training programs for financial professionals about the role of home equity and reverse mortgages within a comprehensive financial plan. Steve’s career in financial services spans over 30 years\, first as a fixed income analyst\, and for the past 25 years as a partner in a wealth management firm. Throughout his career\, he has incorporated strategies to protect and grow client assets by managing risks. \nWhen introduced to reverse mortgages in the early 2000’s\, Steve realized that these were not just loans\, but rather an opportunity to add home equity to the financial planning process\, providing further safeguards for his clients to ensure their financial longevity. Since that time he has helped hundreds of financial advisors do the same for their clients. \nSteve is a subject expert source and a frequent speaker at both national and regional professional conferences and has been quoted in Kiplinger’s Personal Finance\, The Street.com\, and other publications. \n  \n  \nMike Caffrey\nBio – Michael was raised in Tucson AZ.  He was recruited by Duncan Toys as their youngest Touring Yo-Yo Professional at 18.  Michael created Yo-Yo Crazes in Cities from San Francisco to NYC and more than a dozen cities in-between.  Later\, while enrolled in the Univ. of AZ’s Business Program\, he invented and patented the world’s first “Smart Yo-Yo” (containing a centrifugal clutch) it is referred to as “The Brain.”  When Toy-Agents couldn’t place the item with a Manufacturer\, Michael founded Yomega Corp. in 1985.  Yomega quickly became the largest Yo-Yo Manufacturer in the World. \nMichael has also worked with some of the biggest Game Companies.  As a Product Manager for Milton Bradley\, he launched two or three new TV-promoted games every year\, but it was while working as Sr. VP of Marketing for “ScreenLife” that Michael helped launched the game “Scene It?” in 2003 and by 2005 – it became “Toy Industry – Game of the Year”. \nMichael retired from the Toy/Game Industry while he was in his late-forties\, but after a few years\, boredom set in.  He launched a successful career in the Insurance/Financial Industry.  AFLAC provided Michael an opportunity to meet business owners all over Southern AZ.  He topped the lists for “New Groups Opened in 2014\, 2015 and 2016.”  Most recently\, he joined forces with MassMutual where he acts as a Financial Advisor – who can throw a Spin Top\, a Frisbee or a Yo-Yo! \nSynopsis of Presentation – “Invent” Your Way to Greater Sales! \nWith more than 35 years’ experience in the Marketing-Driven Toy/Game Industry – Michael Caffrey has learned that Engaging Products\, with Innovative Marketing Programs and a “dash of Luck” are always keys to success. \nThose same lessons are being put into practice as he builds his Financial Services Career with MassMutual and AFLAC. \n  \nScott Nasca\nScott has been a financial representative with COUNTRY Financial® for over 30 years. He continues to work with his clients to help them prepare for their future\, including insurance and financial services. He prides himself on working hard to provide the best possible service to his clients. Being able to help people is a central part of his life and he is happy that can be of service to not only his clients but also his community. SUMMARY:NAIFA-Arizona 'Spring Event'
DESCRIPTION:April 12\, 2019\n8:00 a.m. – Noon \nFeaturing Lincoln Kennedy -former Oakland Raider – now insurance agent\, living in Arizona!\nFeaturing Marilyn Paoli Lewis\, CLU\, ChFC\, CFP\, CASL\nFeaturing Albert R. Kingan\, JD\, LL.M\, CLU\, ChFC \n‘Spring Event’ will also feature two additional speakers\, with one hour CE credit. Registration & Additional details coming soon! Stay tuned.. \n11001 North Black Canyon Highway\, Phoenix \nNo charge to NAIFA-Arizona members. \n  \nLincoln Kennedy Bio\n@Lkennedy72 Twitter \nFootball Career \nLincoln was an All-American football player at the University of Washington where he became the most decorated offensive lineman in UW’s football history. He was named to the Husky Hall of Fame in 2007 and just recently named to the National Football Foundation College Hall of Fame in 2015. Lincoln was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons (93-95) in the 1993 NFL Draft #9 overall. He then had a successful pro career that spanned 12 years where he was named All-Pro twice and went to the Pro-Bowl 3 times. Most of his playing years were with the Oakland Raiders (96-2004). \nProfessional Advancement \nSince retiring from the NFL\, he’s been a broadcaster. In 2004- April 2005 he worked for the NFL Network alongside Rich Eisen and the network lead show Total Access. After leaving the NFL Network he began working with Fox Sports Radio where he has been hosting shows and covering various sporting events\, from football games to NASCAR events. Currently\, he is on a nationally syndicated show with co-host Anthony Gargano. He and his (sometimes various) partners talk about the latest topics from all sports. He is currently providing color commentary and studio analysis for college football with Pac-12 Network and Oakland Raiders football games with The Oakland Raiders Radio Network. Lincoln has also been on TV shows like Arliss (HBO 2000)\, Two and a Half Men (CBS 2005) and has done a guest appearance in the movie The Marine. Lincoln has also hosted and been an MC for various charity events including Fred Biletnikoff’s Foundations dinners and events. Lincoln still travels around the country today giving motivational speeches to businesses and children. \nIn 2018\, Lincoln partnered with Gateway Financial Advisors\, Inc. and Gateway Insurance Group\, Inc. a national\, independent financial firm with a focus on insurance and investments.  This was a natural transition for Lincoln because he is also a licensed insurance producer and former insurance agent.  Lincoln’s interest in the financial industry developed as he witnessed many of his NFL colleagues\, and other professional athletes\, struggling to get approved for coverage like life insurance due to their athletic physique\, or injury history\, not conforming to the underwriting guidelines insurance companies use.  Lincoln knew there had to be a solution for these individuals and was passionate about helping his connections.  Because Gateway is independent\, Lincoln can refer business to agents who are licensed in many different states\, with many different carriers; this opens a new world of possibilities and solutions for Lincoln’s connections.  Lincoln understands the importance of insurance and fiscal responsibility and is a great advocate and center of influence for Gateway. \nPersonal History \nLincoln earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a minor in Communications from the University of Washington.  Lincoln has always wanted to be a visible and consistent contributor to his community. He has\, and always will\, value the community’s well-being and growth. He is the current president of Arizona’s Chapter of Former NFL Players and also serves on the Executive Board for the Boys & Girls Clubs of the East Valley where he has chaired the marketing division. He is currently working on several other projects he hopes will bring the community closer and provides ways for them to better themselves. \nGrowing up in San Diego\, Lincoln and his family moved to Phoenix in 2006. Lincoln has two sons Tavon and Tye and is currently raising his niece\, Kali. Lincoln thoroughly enjoys spending time with his family. Along with raising his boys he enjoys listening to jazz\, smoking cigars and enjoying life. He now enjoys being an entrepreneur owning a cigar business where he has created his own blend of cigars. The name of the company is El-K Cigars. \n \nMarilyn Paoli Lewis INFO\nBUSINESS ACCOMPLISHMENTS STATE FARM: \n\nState Farm Insurance Agent since 1982\nThirty 37 time Ambassador Travel\, State Farm\nLifetime Member State Farm President’s Club\nState Farm Legion of Honor\, Crystal Excellence\, Chairman’s Circle\nState Farm Regional Vice President’s Club – 25 years\n\nBUSINESS ACCOMPLISHMENTS INDUSTRY: \n\nChartered Life Underwriter (CLU) 1990\nChartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) 1995\nCertified Financial Planner (CFP) 2002 (relinquished per State Farm request)\nChartered Advisor for Senior Living (CASL) 2005\nFeatured speaker for various Life Underwriters Associations and State\nFarm training schools\nNational Association of Life Underwriters- Northern Nevada Chapter President 2006-2007\, Board of Directors 1989-91 and 2004-2010 Secretary/Treasurer 1989-90; 2007-2011 Nevada state Board of Directors.
